The New Testament - The Gospel Comes With a House Key
As followers of Jesus we are commanded all through the New Testament to just continue what Jesus started. The word practice there in Greek, one lexicon defines it as, quote, to do something with intense effort and with a definite purpose or goal. In both 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1 the practice of hospitality is a requirement for elders or leaders in the church. Those who live out radically ordinary hospitality see their homes not as theirs at all but as God's gift to use for the furtherance of his kingdom.
