The Benefits of No-Till Farming
The new fertility hadn't been maintained except nitrogen phosphorus They had added you know conventional fertilizer Chemical fertilizer to keep the hay yields up. So while the soil texture and quality and general fertility was good The the nitrogen and phosphorus and potassium levels were pretty low because they'd been doing just opposite of what we've been doing building up a carbon structure an organic matter system. We wanted to see if we could utilize all the techniques the carbon farming techniques that we had had developed and see if we Could go to no-till on the orchard. About a 600 trees about 200 trees were no till and they're doing great, I'll have to send you photographs.
