The Pros and Cons of Reparation

Some say reparation payments should go to descendants of slaves who are in the United States. Others make a more principled argument and say, what are you talking about? The U.S. has a whole history that didn't end in 1865 of having blacks and sometimes other minorities and women working at substandard wages. Even if a particular white person may not have been a slave owner, still he or she benefited from this racial caste system.
