The dream time existed in multi-dimensions at all times. It wasn't like it was a hallucinogenic state or a state of altered consciousness. The dreaming is the definition of the unity of the now. This was not a civilization without a history. In a way, it was a civilization through their idea system that had, in fact, defeated the very notion of history.
