Is Motherhood Making You Feel Bad?

I don't think makes it better art if if it makes somebody inadvertently feel bad. I wanted the character to have very old fashioned ideas about what was acceptable, what wasn't acceptable life as a woman to live. Some people might just find the book completely outdated in certain ways or completely irrelevant to them and offensive. But, i mean, that's just, you know, don't read the book in that case,. And does it matter whether the artist is alive or not? It's never mattered to me. You can't make something without being an artist. So that makes a lot of sense to me.
