Is There a Desirable Difficult?
i'm going to use something called disfluency. So fluency is being able to do something easily. It's a skill we've learned and we're good at it. Fluency is the opposite of that. And so that's where something might be more challenging. In psychology research, it's usually something that we put in to disrupt fluency. We might make a task more difficult, if you will.
