Alexander kerensky had slipped out of petrograd on the afternoon of october 20 fifth and gone to piscoff, where nicholas had signed his abdication. Once there he tried to rally troops to help him retake the capital from the criminal bolsheviks. But here's the rub, and this remains the rub of the whole thing, no one wanted to fight for kerensky. The only person he could convince was general pyoter krasnov, a right wing ally of kornelof but who shot himself in the heart.
