I had developed that idea that the gospel was perfect, but the church wasn't. And then also, you know, the idea of sustaining some church leaders, but not others. I just had a lot of anger that I didn't really couldn't really identify and didn't really know where to put. So going back to BYU, I was definitely in that angry stage of racial development.
