How to Escape the Hermeneutical Echo Chamber
LZ Granderson: What assumptions are we making about what the Bible is? And then second question is, how do we get out of that just sort of never ending hermeneutical sort of echo chamber? LZ: I think one of the things we're assuming is that we are like rational thinking beings that when presented with a problem can just take data in and analyze it effectively. So much of the way that I see the Bible used in like social media spheres, it's just the pouring on of verses of that of point counterpoint. We're both using the Bible. But scripture isn't asking and doesn't try to answer all questions within its context.
