The Upsetting Experience of Going to School

When I was eight, I went from a local state school to a private school. It was like being sent back 30 years to a prep school where all the kids wore uniforms. One of the things weird things I felt so self conscious about maybe not measuring up or not fitting in that I began talking differently. And I actually got the nickname posh Claude, because they said I talked partially. Whereas actually I was, I'd just come from a state school.
