"I spent 10 years in the corporate world basically trying to tailor myself and my career such that I could fit into what I thought were other people's expectations of me," Paul says. "When they reach out, it activated that side of me." He self-published his book simply because he probably couldn't have gotten anything close to an interesting publishing deal.
