"I'm told that I'm the best. There was jealous of me, but I know that's not true because I'm alone," he says. "There was a real thing from my mother, and when you talk about how your mother spoke to you, this repeated message of 'Your special' It stopped me as a writer to try to explain ourselves as a character." He talks about growing up in Detroit where his birthday is June 7th - two years younger than everyone else.
