People are under tremendous pressure. But what doesn't go away in a period like this is the value of the talent on your team. People who have highly valuable skill don't lose their value in a moment like this. Their value, in some ways, is enhanced. And also, it sounds like she's at a stage where she actually just really needs to take some time off, not only to grieve, but to recovery.
