In the ICU of that hospital functioned more like a church than most churches I've been in because they never rejected my dad. My dad had some weird secret charm thing even to the end. And there he was, more cleaner than I'd ever seen him. Prepared for something beautiful almost. This is what the cross brings. This is why we must surrender to the centrality of this incredible God who has entered into our suffering and made it his own so that we can be free to be conduits of his love.
