The Prodigal Son

The mission, Pastor in California, was starting to compromise the clear obedience husband, father, son. I determined that the Lord desires obedience, not sacrifice. The problem was that I still had no theological category at that time to be able to justify moving back to Texas where my parents were and my wife's parents were. It felt like losing. It feltlike quitting. It feltLike giving up. Then I began to think about the prodigal son. He lavishly spends all of his inheritance that he received from his father. And now he's often a far distant land at a time when we're all the land becomes ravaged by famine.
