The Crucifixion of the King of the Jews
The title was presumably the charge that led to jesus crucifixion, king of the jews. Various scriptures are fulfilled in the crucifixion. Jesus is playing out many themes of the biblical text and fulfilling its prophecies. This is exactly what god had always intended. Now it may seem that everything has gone wrong, but at this time we get this litany of fulfilments of scripture. Step by step, what is happening in this chapter is fulfilling what god has declared in the past. All o these verses highlight the fact that this is happening according to the scripture.
