Is There a Benefit to Walking?

I think the benefits of being outside for 30 minutes a day are astronomical when it comes to getting the vitamin D you need. Walking is as good of an exercise as any if you can do it consistently and for a long enough period of time. You're doing low impact steady state cardio generally, so your heart rate will typically be in a fat burning zone. A lot of people could get away with just walking an hour, an hour and a half a day and eating right.
