Tim Carney: I think Trump exacerbates the problem because he centralizes our attention. He's worried that conservative, the sort of everyday conservative is being torn away from the matters at hand and attention brought towards this big national political warfare. The idea that someone on the left are seeing it makes me optimistic, but my twosort of cop-out on this question. So ultimately I have hope for the future and I'm a conservative.
