Physiologic Modulation of the Levels
The body is creating more of an enzyme called prostaglandin E2. It's not actually helping the muscle, it's actually kind of hurting the muscle. We found a small molecule inhibitor that partially blocks the activity of that enzyme. And as a result, you get an increase in prostaglandine E2 back to youthful levels. When we did that in mice, and we just restored their PGE2 levels back to youthful level, we found that their their muscles got bigger.
