The Abolitionism of David Livingston
The abolitionist movement started among Quakers, another religious group in England and North America. Ironically, it was a group of British colonists who were busy setting up colonies in Africa. Some wanted to set up British colonies in Africa because they believed that this and only this would end slavery. One of the most prominent people who believed this and was active in colonizing Africa was David Livingston.
