How Does the Organizational Strategy Impact Product Management?

I find it very natural that the body knowledge starts with strategy as the first section. Because strategy drives everything else that we talk about an innovation. And i often encounter prodict managers who don't their work. They don't when i ask them, how is their work connected to the strategy or the strategic objectives of the organization? Too frequently they don't have a clear connection, right? and sometimes they don't even have a hand on with trategy of the organization.
