Dr. Gary Hartenberg is director of the Honors College at Houston Christian University formerly Houston Baptist University. Every student in the program has a professor who serves as his or her mentor and that's very important it's pretty substantial relationship. We approach the study of the liberal arts through study of the great books starting with Homer and trekking all the way through to the 20th century. The classes are designed as seminars with a professor a student described to me the other day on the way out.
