David Gison is an architectural historian based at the California College of the Arts. He wrote this book called Sub-Nature, Architecture's Other Environments. sub-nature was a term that I coined to describe degraded natures found from wastelands, war, environmental collapse and industrialization. So basically, sub-nature is a word and idea that David made up.
