Plato's Problem With Tragedy

Aristotle says that art can have a potentially very destructive power. He's all in favor of using art, not just using it, but accepting it as part of a flourishing life. But what you can't allow is art to go on without having thought about it. What does promote human well being? What promotes disintegration and injustice? And so aristotle is making a point that there is something good to be said for the tragedy of his day.
