How to Train as a Weight Lifter

The most advanced programs look similar to snatch, clean and power variations. Blocks play a big role in force development and they improve the lifters ability to shorten the distance between the lift and the bar. Each time you shorten the distance there is a forced acceleration so more forces are put on the bar because it's not accelerating as much. The better a lifter gets, the smaller that scope of exercises becomes,. Because they don't need to develop things they already are good at. They're going to shift from lifting heavy weights to lighter weight ones. Ortey: "We want people who can do all these different lifts with no problems"
