The Korean King Chin Hong during the warring period around 576 CE created the Hwa Rang, meaning flowering youth. These were exceptionally well trained noblemen who studied multiple martial arts, Buddhism and the use of key energy. Ki philosophy flourished in Korea and eventually found its way to Japan in both the Korean and Japanese cultures.
