Hypertonic Saline Solutions and Hyposymmotherapy for the Management of Hyperglycemia
There is stuff that you could do, I talk about hyperglycemic management already. At my institution we have incorporated gliburide as part of the anti-dema, anti-serilema protocol for these patients with really aggressive oversight of glucose. Hyposymmotherapy and hypertonic saline solutions can help too. If it's a large hemispheric infarction, usually an MCA in part of more than two thirds, right? And then, depending on the age, sometimes it helps with functional outcomes in the long term.
