The Black Unity Council

Russell shoats and about eight other men started a more militant stanc against the violence that was perpetuated against black people in their communities. They formed a para military organization tey, gathering weapons and a doing drills in the wilderness. After a while, they have to go underground again, because they've pushed themselves into even a more militaristic stance. And so they couldn't be explicitly affiliated with the panthers any more; they become the philadelphia cell of the black liberation army.
