The High Line
The high line is an old elevated railroad that ran throug the west side of manhatan int was about a mile and a half long. "I moved in to the west village in 19 93 with my boy friend, and i just saw this old structure that you couldn't get up on it," he says. The project began when two people sat next to each other at their first community board meeting; they realized everyone else either didn't care or wanted to tear it down.
