The writer jenifer egan was telling us that she still relies on a writer's group to workshop her current novel in progress, even with manhattan bage. Without good execution, an idea doesn't mean much. People are afraid of hearing criticism and so they don't really want to know if you have any thought that isn't positive. And i so understand that. I mean, it's awful to hear that something you think is working isn't. So it hurts, but it's not going to kill you.
