In July, after parliament was parrobed into Lauton, E.S. Uda Proclamation cancelling 18 monopolies. He'd made a couple of subsidies all bagged up and ready to ship. By professing himself well satisfied with the need to reform patents and monopolies, he hoped parliaments would vote him another subsidy. But then things hit choppier waters, and parliament began to wobble off their allotted course,. And they introduced a bill for the better discovery and suppression of Catholics.
