The Archaeology of Olbia
Archaeologists have been working at the site in Ukraine for so many years before the present troubles. What has the archaeology revealed about what the architecture looks like in this Hellenistic period of obvious history? My favorite piece of archaeological evidence, and we've got loads of it, are coins. In Olbia, we can track coinage from its sort of earliest years to when they actually start minting proper coins. But there's also other teeny bits of archaeology that kind of dispel our assumptions.
