The Negative of Consumer Inflation Expectations
The UK's inflation data did give us a bit of a pause, I think, this week. We should feel nervous that consumers and businesses are all the time adapting their expectations to higher inflation levels under the hood. And that's likely to keep central bankers on the war path we suspect for a little bit longer anyway.
