Thorazine - The Thunderbolt of Psychiatric Drugs
Invented by a French doctor in 1952 to help with pre-surgery anesthesia, it was also used as an anti-inflammatory. Now primarily used to manage hallucinations and mania and some symptoms of schizophrenia. It's also been prescribed for everything from behavior problems, ADHD, to barfing, to hiccups.
