A Special Class Interest of the Faucets
Every change must, in one way or another, affect the shortrun interests of many groups. It is always easy to expose every doctrine supporting an alteration of existing conditions as an ideological disguise of a special group of people. Marks did not invent this procedure; it was known long before him. The rich have no particular class interest in the maintenance of free competition. Where there are selfish interests pro there must necessarily be selfish interests contra to it. Is by no means a satisfactory explanation of any event that favored a special class.
