The Role of F12 in the Pathophysiology of SCD
Factor 12, or F12, plays a role in the propagation phase of pathological clot formation. Research has established that F12 triggers activation of the contact system involved in both thrombosis and inflammation but not physiological hemostasis. The exact role of F12 in the pathophysiology of SCD remains largely unknown. Study aimed to elucidate whether F12 contributes to the thrombotic complications associated with SCD.
