The FBI was not just infiltrating and spying on dissident groups from 1956 to 1971. The FBI was deliberately disrupting them by spreading words that someone else was the informant or snitch. And this was, you know, a deliberate attempt to make people afraid of one another. This is an example of a real world conspiracy.
