Is There a Difference Between Emotional Intelligence and Labor?

When I hear emotional intelligence, I see it as a little bit liberating. We have too many kids who grow up in America and other parts of the world who are told they're not smart. By calling it an intelligence, it legitimates the fact that you might not be a math whiz. You might not be the person who will write the next Shakespeare play or the next Maya Angelou poem,. Do you want to rob people of that?
