The book was supposed to be a series of essays about pop culture, but ended up being much more personal. "I can so clearly see that we were desperate to control the violence in some form," he says. The things I don't want to talk about are usually where my most important stories are. It's trying to point a finger at so many different toxic aspects of masculinity and how we're taught to be men in society.
