How to Sell a Business When You're Already Burnt Out
A lot of founders get burnt out around the four to five year mark. The key is to kind of already have a team in place that you can transition to so that when that burnout inevitably happens your team is still good to go and make and run without you. A sale process would be three to four times earnings five if you're really lucky compared to the idea of bringing out a general manager where I personally might earn a little bit less but it would mean that out of the business would continue to spell dividends which would be enough to live off of.
