Anxiety starts with a negative thought. We often internalize it rather than seeking help when we should do. This might be around thinking about pain. Are there a lot of what if worries about their pain? Are they predicting a very negative future for themselves about their pain)? Have they done the quick Google search and have actually confused themselves with the information that they've gathered? So this can be part of someone's concerns. And it's a hidden part in many cases. They won't necessarily volunteer this to you because they might be embarrassed about it. Or because sadly, one of the things around mental health is we often internalized it rather than seek help when weShould do.
