The Moral Pornography of Superhero Comics
In a chapter with Roy Ba Meister, I wrote about Superhero Comics' Moral Pornography. What that's doing is it's giving us the ability to practice our negative moral evaluations. So whatever pleasure we get out of it is the pleasure of making these judgments that they are bad. It gives this simplicity of making moral evaluations that is unmatched in everyday life.
