The Power of Choice
My history by the age of 18 told me I should never drink, and yet I persistently drank day after day after day between the ages of 18 and 21. It took three years between the point of realization and being able to stop having the first drink. A friend of mine relapsed in 1995 and it's 2019 and he's still out there. And this is that that makes my life unmanageable. If I do not have the power to adjust the steering wheel of the car, I cannot manage the course of the car. Why not choose a typical AA member? Why not choose someone that is a roaring mess in the tornado roaring through someone else's life?
