Stoic cognitive model of emotion says emotions are based on our judgments, beliefs about the world. Do you think this is correct? I see that you have these bad emotions and there are two things that make them bad. And not only that, they can distort our decision making. Whereas we have these positive emotions which are based on properly valuing - but also less likely to distort our decision-making. Yes. It's a perfectly credible way. We don't need to feel embarrassed for old Stoics who got it wrong.
