The Silent Test of the Nuclear Reactor
Lake Norman is a man made lake. They blocked it off for hydroelectric power in the 60s. There are some towns, I think, submerged underneath the lake. And near the hydroelectric power plant is also a nuclear power plant that uses the water from the lake to cool the nuclear reactor. So if anything happens, they are pretty much done for. It's less than 10 miles away.
