The self is an incredibly hard debate in the AI field right now. How are you supposed to use language to describe that? And similarly, how can you describe the self paradoxically trying to figure out those questions can sometimes actually make them harder to get closer to the answer to. The point of reading these books is not almost it's not to give you more labels to use for things. It's to teach you the whole idea of labeling itself being the problem in some cases.
