Aristotle's Account of Nature
For Thomas, more properly speaking, it is a natural habit by which human beings know the first principles of practical reason. And the natural law for Thomas stands beside, yes, somewhat below, but also beside the divine law in ordering human beings to their proper end. He draws very heavily on Aristotle for this, right? For Thomas, of course it makes sense to refer to Aristotle as the pagan philosopher.
