I have to say kind of rubs me the wrong way a little bit to see tons and tons of code in the init file. Partly because that's not where I'm expecting to see it. If I'm looking at somebody else's code and I want to know, oh, where's the source code for the database object or something like that? It doesn't occur to me that the code would be in theinit file. Just sometimes I feel like I'm importing a thousand things.
