Storm of Steel by Ernst Junga
Storm of Steel is Ernst Junga's diaries from the First World War. He enlisted as a volunteer for Germany, I think on the 1st of August 1914,. extremely early on and survived the entire war. And he was given two awards, one for his service after the war, like Golden Medal, but one during the war just because he kept on getting wounded. So we should note he was awarded 14 times. The guy had a fucking death wish and like this somehow didn't have it fulfilled despite just being in the most dangerous situations.
