The Importance of Paying Attention to Your Student Loan Balance
Tui's student loan was small in comparison with many. She had avoided any other kind of debt always managing her income well enough to cover all her immediate and short term expenses such as plane tickets. But it was during one period back in New Zealand when her mum ended up gifting her some money towards her student loan that motivated her into action. After seeing her balance drop by such a meaningful amount, something clicked for Tui and she thought you know what I can do this I can pay this thing off. Her mother directly deposited the $5,000 on to Tui student loan meaning that the decision about what to do with the money was taken out of her hands.
